Good weekend, back home a day late, pooped :)
Friday I managed to lose my Megabus reservation printout in the five blocks between work and Caltrain. I called my coworker and he was able to retrieve the numbers I needed from my email-so I gave the driver the number to get me to LA and wrote down the return number. What I didn't write down was the return *time* ... whoops. I was off by a half hour and had to take the bus last night instead of Sunday night.
Of course the upshot of this was that I had an extra day bumming around and got to see Griffith Observatory for the first time :) Also my bus came in early enough this morning that I was able to go home shower, drop stuff off and relax a little before going back to work.
The weekend was lots of fun, most of it was spent at a massive sale at the CBS studio lot where they were getting rid of ten years of accumulated props, costumes and set stuff from Passions (and assorted other shows). I got all sorts of crap and everyone had loads of fun pawing through the piles of debris and trying to figure our what possible story arc required plastic lobsters, fake chickens, prison jumpsuits and hula skirts. We were also attacked by furniture, but three out of four of us got out unscathed and discounts ensued so that kinda worked out ok. After ice-packs and excedrin were applied (not to me) anyway.
Aside from the sale we wandered the studio a little and saw a realio-trulio (or rather fakey-fakey) backlot and the quintessential stage prop; the moss covered styrofoam boulder!
Later on there was was gelato, s'mores, Smithwicks and ribs (not all at the same time) and I finally watched Voyage of the Damned, so on balance it was a successfully weekend.

Off to LA for the weekend, keep the internet warm for me.
