Last weekend I took it easy on Saturday for a change but on Sunday I went to see Twilight Zone Live at the Darkroom Theater in SF, with
sinmix and
clockworkbuddha . It was a lot of fun and runs through this weekend, so catch it if you get a chance. After that we wandered by Borderlands, bought some books and chatted with
jlassen and got to see the legendary Nazi-on-a-Unicorn David Palumbo cover.
Then it was nothing but work until Tuesday night when my friend Steve called me up and suggested we go to the Hotel Utah to see Ian Shaul. Shaul is a local singer who I had last seen a year ago at the opening night of a friend's theater. I remember being very impressed at the time but not much more so I was glad to see that my memory was correct and this guy is just great. The singer who came up afterwards, Gaby Moreno, was also very good and I would recommend checking them out sometime.
Then I took yesterday off kinda just because and got a new dresser delivered to replace my Ikea POS with the chronically collapsing drawers.
So it's been a pretty awesome week so far, even before someone in the office brought in chocolate covered strawberries.
